New Tab Widgets v1.13 brings three brand-new utility widgets and a suite of AI chat assistants to your dashboard. A Word of the Day widget helps you build your vocabulary, a Currency Converter handles 180+ world currencies with live exchange rates, and a Unit Converter covers everything from length and weight to digital storage. On top of that, five AI assistants — Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, DeepSeek, and Perplexity — are now just a widget away.

Behind the scenes, the Hue smart-home widgets get a better color picker, iframes load lazily for snappier dashboards, and several components have been optimized for improved performance.

Expand your vocabulary right from your new tab. The Word of the Day widget pulls the latest word from Merriam-Webster so you can learn something new every time you open a tab.

💡 Hue — Improved Color Wheel

The Philips Hue smart-home widgets now feature a color wheel picker similar to the official Hue app, making it far more natural to dial in the perfect light colour.

What's new

  • Color wheel picker replaces the previous hex color picker — choose colours visually, just like in the Hue app
  • Improved popover placement so the picker sits neatly beside your controls
  • Better initialization — the picker opens on the correct colour every time
