New Tab Widgets v1.10 gives you more control over how your dashboard looks and feels. This release introduces the Image widget with personal file uploads, brings Discord to your new tab, and lets you write custom CSS for any widget.

🖼️ Image Widget

Personalise your dashboard with your own photos. The Image widget lets you upload images directly to New Tab Widgets and display them as a widget on your dashboard. Upload a single photo or a whole collection — the widget picks one at random each time you open a new tab, so your dashboard stays fresh.

Features

  • Upload your own images (up to 10 MB per file, 1 GB total)
  • Drag-and-drop upload or paste from clipboard
  • Multiple images per widget — a random one is shown on each new tab open
  • Full image management: preview thumbnails, delete individual uploads
  • Available to New Tab Widgets Pro subscribers

💬 Discord Widget

Bring your Discord server to your new tab. The Discord widget embeds the Discord web app so you can check messages, see who's online, and stay connected with your communities without switching tabs.

🎨 Custom CSS

Power users can now write custom CSS for individual widgets from the widget's context menu. This opens up unlimited visual customisation — change colours, fonts, spacing, borders, and anything else you can style with CSS. Available to New Tab Widgets Pro subscribers.

To access it:

  1. Right-click any widget to open its context menu
  2. Select Custom CSS
  3. Write your CSS and see the changes live

Other improvements in v1.10

  • Iframe widget — advanced iframe features that allow more complex embedded apps and workflows are now available exclusively to Pro subscribers
  • Countdown widget — fixed edge-case with expiration logic and improved AM/PM support in the date-time input
  • Payment failure emails — users now receive an email notification if their subscription payment fails

The Image widget and Custom CSS are available to New Tab Widgets Pro subscribers. Discord is available to all users. Update from the Chrome Web Store to get started.
